The work begins by re-connecting the actor with their intuitive, instinctive self through impulse work.

The actors begin to experience the joy of the kinaesthetic self and the exhilarating freedom of heightened awareness.

They bypass the rational mind and immerse themselves in the true source : their infinite imagination.

Their work becomes embodied as they pursue virtuosity, working rigorously, imaginatively, conceptually and physically.

Next, they discover the power of language, and the alchemy of transformation, through the synergy of their words, their outer world and their inner life.

This intensive provides a dynamic and inspiring immersion in text.

The key to this work lies in the synthesis of the three stages of Lindy Davies’ Approach to Performance: Dropping-in, Abstract and Blueprint.

This approach enables transformation through text,

The pathway to character is traversed experientially. In an altered state, the actor finds out what is happening from their character’s perspective, and as the experiences accrue, they gain insight into the character’s inner world.

The discoveries are always original and unexpected. 

This process creates an imaginative landscape of great depth, and infuses the character with a profound inner life.
